Petronas FLNG facility at Rotan field
Malaysia’s national oil and gas company Petronas awarded GE Oil & Gas a contract to supply gas turbine-driven compressor train and mechanical drive technology for the second floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) facility off the coast of East Malaysia. The second Petronas FLNG (PFLNG 2) is located at the Rotan field, northeast of Sabah. Upon the terms of agreement, GE will supply four of its PGT25+G4 gas turbine generator systems and two nitrogen trains featuring two LM6000-PF+ 2BCL907 aeroderivative gas turbines in mechanical-drive mode. Commercial operation is expected to begin in the 3Q 2017. Once operational in 1Q 2018, the PFLNG 2 facility is expected to produce about 1.5mtpa of LNG.
Flenco is pleased to have been selected as preferred partner by GE Oil & Gas to supply its auxiliary systems for this project. For further inquiries about this collaboration, you can ask your usual contact person at our Sales Department or complete and send us our contact form.
